We specialise in promoting mental health awareness and resilience for young people aged 11-25 through our interactive group workshops and 1:1 mentoring. 

Our services put young people at the centre of our design to create support for you, by you. No problem is too big or too small and anyone can learn to take control of their own mental health and wellbeing.

BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAMMES

We understand that many young people will have struggled with their emotional health and wellbeing over lockdown.  To support the transition back into school, we are offering a range of assemblies, workshops and programmes to help students hit the ground running and better cope with future uncertainty.

We offer a selection of individually tailored, interactive mental health awareness, resilience and confidence group workshops to cover issues relevant to different age groups and backgrounds. Suitable for ages 11-15, 16-18 and 18-25. 

We facilitate and ignite relatable conversations and debate between the young people on current issues from within their own communities.   All of our workshops encourage the development of positive coping strategies, helping participants to better manage the challenges they face in their daily lives.

Workshops

Programmes

We deliver half-day and full-day interactive group workshops on topics such as:

  • Understanding Mental Health

  • Fixed vs Growth Mindset

  • Healthy Relationships

  • Positive Decision Making

  • Anger Management

  • Social media and Online Safety

  • School Transitions & Coping with Change

Our programmes are delivered as a course of 6 workshops that encourage team building and leadership skills.

Example programme outline:

  • Understanding Mental Health

  • Recognising the signs and symptoms of Mental Illness

  • Coping with Stress and Anxiety

  • Managing Depression and Low Mood

  • Take Control: Healthy vs Unhealthy Coping Mechanism

  • Master your Mind: Confidence and Resilience Building

Outcomes:

  • Improved understanding of mental health vs mental illness

  • Improved confidence to openly discuss mental health and wellbeing concerns

  • Practical tools for managing your own wellbeing

  • Knowledge of additional sources of  wellbeing support

Peer support training

Want to learn how to manage your own wellbeing whilst gaining the skills to support others with theirs?

Our Peer Support training will help young people to develop the confidence and leadership skills needed to support others who may be struggling with their wellbeing.

The workshop will  cover:

  • Understanding and talking about mental health

  • Tackling stigma and discrimination

  • Developing practical ways to effectively manage emotional wellbeing in themselves and others.

  • Addressing the barriers to seeking support

  • Services for additional support

Participants receive a '4YoungMinds Peer Supporter' certificate upon completion and the option to enter into a network of other peer supporters.

School Supply

Transitions Workshops

For Year 7, 11 and 12 students

Our transitions workshops support students who are starting a new secondary school/college and those who are starting their GCSE's.​ We focus on building resilience, confidence and ability to cope with change.

Mind over Matter: Life after Lockdown

We deliver half-day, full-day and 4-week programmes specially designed to support students with their wellbeing whilst reintegrating back into the classroom. 

Topics include:

  • Reconnecting with your peers

  • Managing change and uncertainty

  • Coping with anxiety around learning

  • Staying positive for the future
